Bichon Frise Club of Canada

BFCC Awards

The current Bichon Frise Club of Canada awards years are 2022 and 2023.  To be eligible for any club awards an individual must be a member in good standing of the Bichon Frise Club of Canada as of January 1 of the awards year.  The awards year runs from January 1 to December 31. 

 

The dog which the award is applied for must be either owned or co-owned by a BFCC member.  All awards must be applied for by the owner.  The closing date for applying for awards is August 15, 2024.  Please email the complete details to Sandy Greenway at qsgrooming@gmail.com

 

BICHON FRISE OF THE YEAR  

  The Bichon Frise defeating the greatest number of dogs at breed, group and best in show levels in the awards year, calculated on the basis of one point for each dog defeated, as reported in the official top dog results.  Submit the registered name of the dog and the name of the owner. 

 

BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX BICHON FRISE OF THE YEAR

  The Bichon Frise of the Opposite Sex to the Dog of the Year using the same method as Dog of the Year.  Submit the registered name of the dog and the name of the owner,

 

SIRE OF THE YEAR

  For the sire producing the greatest number of Bichon Frise get awarded Canadian Kennel Club Championship titles during the awards year.  The sire has to be owned by a BFCC member but the get do not.  Submit the registered name of the sire, the name of the owner, and the registered names of the get with copies of their championships status.

 

DAM OF THE YEAR

  For the bitch producing the greatest number of Bichon Frise progeny awarded Canadian Kennel Club Championship titles during the awards year.  The dam has to be owned by a BFCC member but the progeny do not.  Submit the registered name of the dam, name of owner, and the registered names of the progeny with copies of their championships status. 

 

OBEDIENCE AWARD

  Highest scoring Bichon Frise at a Canadian Kennel Club obedience trial during the awards year.  Submit the registered name of the dog, name of owner, and a copy of the score with name and date of the trial. 

 

AGILITY AWARD

  Highest scoring Bichon Frise at a Canadian Kennel Club agility trial during the awards year.  Submit the registered name of the dog, name of owner, and copies of the three highest scores with name and date of the trials.  

 

RALLY AWARD

  Highest scoring Bichon Frise at a Canadian Kennel Club rally trial during the awards year.  Submit the registered name of the dog, name of owner, and copies of the three highest scores with name and date of the trials.

 

VERSATILITY AWARD

  For the Bichon Frise gaining both a Canadian Kennel Club championship title and either a Canadian Kennel Club obedience, agility or rally title during the awards year. Submit the registered name of the dog, name of owner, and copies of all certificate titles issued by Canadian Kennel Club or copies of the titles listed in the CKC portal. 

REGISTER OF MERIT AWARD (ROM)

  The BFCC Register of Merit is awarded to a Sire of seven (7) or more Canadian Kennel Club champions or to a Dam of five (5) or more Canadian Kennel Club champions as confirmed by the Canadian Kennel Club.  The Sire and Dam must be owned by BFCC members but the get and progeny do not need to be.  Submit the registered name of the Sire or Dam, name of owner, names of the Championship get or progeny with copies of their championship status.

 

REGISTER OF MERIT EXCELLENT AWARD (ROMX)

  The BFCC Register of Merit Excellent is awarded to a Sire of fifteen (15) or more Canadian Kennel Club champions or to a Dam of ten (10) or more Canadian Kennel Club champions as confirmed by the Canadian Kennel Club.  The Sire and Dam must be owned by BFCC members but the get and progeny do not need to be.  Submit the registered name of the Sire or Dam, name of owner, names of the Championship get or progeny with copies of their championship status.

 

Certificates will be presented at the Bichon Frise Club of Canada banquet on August 31, 2024 directly after the meal. If you are unable to attend the banquet the options are to arrange for someone to receive the certificate for you, have the certificate e-mailed to you or have the certificate mailed out for a fee.
